​Take Paws Rescue and the adoption coordinators, at their discretion, may often allow a trial adoption period for approved applicants. This is to make sure the dog and the home are an ideal match prior to executing the Adoption Contract. 

 

Puppies under 6 months of age may have a 24-hour overnight trial period.

No extensions.

Dogs over 6 months are given a 3-day trial period.

The adult period may be extended to a maximum of 7 days for some dogs, depending on their temperament and needs, at the discretion of Take Paws Rescue. 

 

If you have not been told by an adoption coordinator to complete this form, do not fill it out. Doing so will interrupt the review of your application. ​​​

​A dog will not be allowed to go on a trial adoption unless this contract is completed, and the applicant submits the associated adoption fee upfront as a deposit.
